iPRF therapy

IPRF (Injectable Platelet Rich Fibrin)therapy is a completely natural, non-surgical therapeutic option for clients with hair loss or hair recession. It can increase the growth of hair roots by stimulating stem cells and other cells in the vicinity of the hair roots.

How It Works

IPRF is a treatment that uses the client’s own blood plasma, enriched with platelets, fibrin and stem cells. The resulting product is then injected into the areas designated to achieve the desired effect in order to activate the accelerated healing and recovery process. As a result, the body’s own powerful regenerative properties are strengthened and focused on the area concerned in order to launch the congenital biological mechanisms that lead to the prevention of hair loss.

IPRF enhances cell function and cellular reproduction, resulting in a gentle, gradual but lasting and cumulative effect.

Fibrin regulates the release of growth factors in a very gradual and continuous manner. During treatment, the most important thing is to release growth factors in the targeted area.

Who Is This Treatment Recommended for?

IPRF treatment is recommended for both female and male type hair loss. Results may vary depending on the client’s natural abilities, but will in every case prevent active hair loss. Existing hair will be strengthened, and dormant shafts can be activated, which will cause thickening. Therefore, iPRF treatment is recommended even if you are not suffering from hair loss, but only want a richer and healthier head of hair, or faster and effective hair growth.

After implantation, it helps regenerate the implanted grafts and increase hair growth.

iPRF Hair Growth Therapy

This is a completely natural, non-surgical therapeutic option for patients with hair loss or hair recession. IPRF can increase the growth of hair roots by stimulating regenerative cells and other cells in the vicinity of the hair roots. These special platelet cells facilitate healing and accelerate the rate and extent of tissue regeneration, resulting in new hair growth and thickening of the existing hair.

The Process of the Treatment in Clinics

Some tubes of blood are drawn from the client by the usual blood drawing method, similarly to an annual physical blood test.

These blood samples are then placed into a special centrifuge to separate the cell layers that are highly rich in platelets. This cell layer is then extracted to create your own treatment material for iPRF.

The iPRF is then injected into the scalp at the level of the hair roots, approximately every half a centimetre, using a mesotherapy gun.

The injection process takes approximately 30 minutes.

Since the process uses your natural ability to cure and regenerate, it is important after treatment to avoid smoking and excessive exposure to UV.

FAQ

Does iPRF treatment need to be repeated?

Treatment sessions usually take place once a month for three or four months. Most clients will start to see results after four to six months and will need to repeat treatment once or twice a year after the initial course of treatment, to maintain hair growth.

How long will results last?

Results of iPRF treatment vary, but in most cases they last up to 18 months, and in some cases up to two years. It is recommended to repeat the treatment after approximately 12 months in order to maintain its results.

Will it help with chronic hair loss?

Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is the most common cause of chronic hair loss, affecting both men and women. In women, hair loss usually occurs on the whole scalp. In men, hair loss usually starts along the frontal leading line (retracted hair line) or the upper part of the scalp. In the event of AGA, hair roots will shrink and die, due to a lack of circulation and insufficient nutrition.

IPRF treatment aids hair growth by increasing the blood supply to hair roots.

Is iPRF treatment suitable for everyone?

If you are affected by any of the following situations or medical conditions, you should not undergo for iPRP therapy:

  • pregnancy or lactation
  • anticoagulant therapy, such as Warfarin
  • any disease that significantly affects platelet function
  • hemodynamic instability
  • sepsis
  • acute or chronic infections

What risks does iPRF treatment involve?

IPRF treatment is very safe because the treatment is based on the client’s own cells, with no added chemical substances, so the risk of side effects is extremely low.

There may or may not be some minimum discomfort during this procedure, but the treatment is painless.

You may experience some minor discomfort, oedema and bruises in the area of the pinpricks. These symptoms are normal and disappear within a few days.

When can I expect the result?

Results may take from a few weeks to several months to appear. The treatment of hair loss takes longer, as the hair has to grow back. Changes will start within hours and may last for months, due to the growth factors. Results may vary slightly, partly depending on the number and quality of platelets in the client’s blood.
